Checkoff California Campaign Details
Checkoff California is a collaborative effort of tax check-off funds that are supporting the statewide media campaign with corporate sponsorship from Jackson Hewitt Tax Service. The campaign is designed to raise awareness of,
and contributions to, the state's voluntary check-off program.
The Southern California Broadcasters Association (SCBA) and
Northern California Broadcasters Association (NCBA) are media
partners for the 2007 launch of Checkoff California, airing
the campaign's English and Spanish-language radio announcements
extensively among their member stations.
The Checkoff California
campaign was created and produced by Healthier Solutions Inc.,
a social marketing agency based in Los Angeles. Public Health
Foundation Enterprises, a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation headquartered
in City of Industry, provides fiscal management services. Website and graphic
design was provided by JPeery Design in Ojai, CA. The radio
announcements were recorded at the Los Angeles studios of KFWB
radio, engineered and mixed by Bill Nesbitt. The announcer for the English spots is Ellen Dostal, and for the Spanish Armando Diaz. Original music
was composed and performed by award-winning composer Nathan
Wang. Spanish language production services were provided by
Fernando Uribe of Pluribus Media.
